A Personal Note from Alex
I’ve been hard at work writing book #2 (out this November!), cooking new recipes, and getting inspired by chanting. What? Chanting? Yes, a good friend invited me to an evening of yogic chanting with world famous performer Krishna Das here in New York City. The concert was so fun – people were singing along and the music was really uplifting, even if I don’t understand Sanskrit!
Getting inspired by the
uplifting music reminded me of the work I’ve been doing to renew and revamp my
own work. I’m almost ready to reveal my latest project, something very
important to me and my dedication to helping people get healthy and create
vibrant lives. I hope you’ll join me in the next month when I send out the
announcement!

My top 4 tips on how to get inspired to make healthy changes today!
1. Watch a quick healthy cooking video on YouTube – there are hundreds
of quick recipe videos on YouTube to help inspire healthy cooking! Check out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb-jUafcMZY
2. Make your iPhone a healthy food detective – you can now download an
easy app for your phone which will tell you which foods you MUST by organic,
and other foods that you can save some money on by buying conventional. Download
your app today:
3. Get moving! – instead of taking a coffee break at work today, take
a hike! Leave your desk, grab a quick drink of water and walk around the
building, office or even leave and head outside for a few minutes. A few
minutes of walking will improve your blood flow, clear your mind, and erase the
need for your afternoon hit of caffeine.
4. Bend and nap – If you’re having trouble getting to sleep at night,
do a few stretches to relax your body. Hang over your toes, as far as you
comfortably can, and just let your head and neck go. Stretch your hamstrings
for ten seconds each, a few side bends on each side, and sit on the floor to reach
forward to touch your toes. This will help get you back in your body and out of
your head, making sleep easier.
